i have prescription contact Lens because of my high astigmatism i was wondering do the Lens usually hurt the first time you wear them

If you are wearing Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lenses, we do expect them to be uncomfortable at first. If you are wearing soft lenses, pain is a sign that there is something wrong with your lenses. Soft lenses for astigmatism are a little less comfortable than other soft lenses since they have to rotate the same way every time they go on your eye. This means that portions of your lens have to be thicker.
i have got gas permable contact lenses
the first time i wore them they didnt hurt but they were really uncomfortable but the more you wear them the more comfortable they get. I can wear mine all day and they dont bother me now
