Are Certain Brands of Toric Contact Lenses Less Expensive Than Others?

I would like to order more contact lenses for myself. My current toric lenses are about 0 for a box of 4. I am now checking out prices online and see that other brands are less expensive. If I got the prescription from my DR and placed an order online would it have to be a new prescription for that particular brand? Also, what brands seem to have a good affordable toric lens. Thanks!!

yes some are more expensive and some are less expensive. but there’s 2 potential problems with shopping around on your own:

    1) in the US its illegal to buy a brand that you dont have a prescription for. so if you wear say "preference toric", you cant just start buying "soflens toric" on the internet. different BC, diameter, material, thickness, etc etc ad nauseum. when the "verify" your Rx with your doc it’ll be denied. you need your doc’s ok to change brands

    2) if you’re really in a quarterly toric it may be b/c you have an "XR" (extended range) prescription. +10.00 shere or -5.75 cyl or something thats no available in cheapo 2 week disposable torics.
