i dont think colored contacts would harm your eyes, unless you sleep in them or dont clean them properly
there are several brands out there that offer colored ones, the ones that were most popular where i used to work are called freshlook colorblends. they offer diff. colors for people with light eyes, dark eyes, you name it, most places though, you have to get a contact lens exam (unless you already have one) and they generally give you trials pairs to try out to see what looks best on you…
