They wear contacts .. and players have had to go off in the past when they come out (spares are carried with the first aid supplies!)
If they didnt …. perhaps that explains some of the easy misses on goal that some players do!! …. lets hope the Arsenal lads all have a check up at Specsavers before the start of the season!

If it’s really necessary they have to wear contacts but if they can imagine comfortably they have to make a choice. No a lot of footballers do not have perfect eyesight although it helps.
nobbie stiles used to wear contact lenses way back in the 60′s .. (honest) he was as blind as a bat.. possibly why he was late with his tackles.. Lol… i doubt he was the first and positive he was not the last..
I am sure loads wear contacts.
I wear contacts and even though i am not a footballer i still do strenuous things like go to the gym and go jogging and they are fine, no discomfort etc. The only player who did wear glasses was Edgar Davids obviously because of his glaucoma.
if they buy soft contact lenses it shouldnt be a problem cos you cant even feel them in your eyes.
Some do wear contacts if they really need to. Not ALL footballers have perfect eyesight lmao. I remember watching a game in the early 2001-2003 (I don’t remember) and I THINK I saw Puyol wearing glasses…

Chelsea’s Peter Cech wears contacts , he got eye-sight problem after he got his skull fractured by a reading player.
Paul Scholes also wears contacts .And their will be a lot of other players too who wear contacts.
I don’t even know of any footballers who wear glasses off the pitch,
it would interesting if someone was to mention a few.
i think its just common sense to be honest lmao going in for a header and your glasses swing off your face smacking the goalkeeper in the eye.

i do think some do wear lense because all footballers cant have full eyesight ,in 2005 i saw an inter milan player wearing glasses ,actually it is dangerous to wear glasses .

But can you imagine trying to head a ball in a crowded penalty area with a specs on? You’d have glass and broken frames sticking out of your forehead in the first five minutes.

They probably have to wear contacts if they wear glasses. Not all players have perfect eyesight.
There are a few who do wear glasses, but they are specially made so they will be as safe as possible, Also the modern ones don’t look bad they actually have a cool shape and some look exactly like the modern shades (sunglasses) you buy.
You realy can’t wear glasses while playing football because they may break contacts would work a lot better.
No u can wear glasses but most don’t because of the fear of breaking them and looking like a dork

a lot of the time people dont wear glasses because its not as comfortable
sometimes people who require glasses will just go without glasses and no contacts if they dont have too bad vision
