Are There Any High Oxygen Contact Lenses That Are Comfortable?

Has anyone ever wore Purevision brand contact lenses? They seem so uncomfortable. My eyes are dry. It always feels like there is something in them? Has anyone else experienced this? Other contacts don’t do this too me. My doctor told me I have to wear a high oxygen lens, since I have blood vessels growing into my corneas. Are there any other high oxygen lenses that are more comfortable? I bought glasses that I am going to wear part-tI ame to help with the blood vessel problem.

the most comfortable contact lens is the one that fits your individual eye the best. you should tell your doc the purevisions are uncomfortable for you. other popular "breathable" (silicone) contacts are:

    air optix aqua
    acuvue oasys
    o2 optix
    biofinity
    avaira
night & day ("air optix night & day aqua"…hate that name so i just call it "night & day")

I have never found a par of contacts that are comfortable in the 14+ years i’ve worn glasses/contacts. The longest I can stand wearing contacts is a few hours. I’ve tried countless brands and none were better. I must be a rare case as I know a lot of people that can wear theirs all the time, even when they sleep. If I even fell asleep with mine in for 15-30 min they almost fuse to my eye causing it to burn and itch like crazy and become swollen. I’ve given up on contacts completely as i’ve wasted thousands of dollars on them. I will be getting lasik soon.
