Why do you need contacts? What sort of prescription do you have?

There are many brands of contacts that correct for astigmatism, even the silicon hydrogel contacts are available for astigmatism in many prescriptions. My favorites are the Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism and the Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism.

Discuss your previous issues with your optometrist at your next appointment. It may take a few tries before you get it right.

Oops! I just noticed you’re using the name Twilight Fan. Are you looking for special colored contacts to match the movie? That’s much more difficult with an astigmatism. You can ask your doctor if it’s possible to wear a spherical lens without astigmatism correction just for a special occasion. This may be possible depending on your prescription.

I got mine at the Walmart vision centre. They had to special order them in. They’re the cheapest I’ve found and I can hardly feel them when they’re in.

I use purevision toric. You may have to try several different lenses before you find one that is comfortable for you.

I have astigmatisms in both of my eyes.
There are special contacts that can be made to fit your eye exactly. It even has a little weight to make sure that it hugs the contours of your eye.
My optometrist took a special picture of my eye that made what looked like a topographical map, the contact company made special lenses for me, and when they came in the mail, I tried them on.
Unfortunately, they were not for me. The lenses rotated and rotated without ever sitting flatly on my eye.
But they may be for you! Ask your optometrist about them.

a small astigmatism of low grade is ignored when simple regular contacts are used –any thing more than certain value you have to see your optometrist for special prescription contacts for astigmatism
