You would have to go to another doctor to have a contact exam.
The BC (base curve) of the lenses is based on the curvature of the cornea and needs to be measured with an instrument called a Keratometer.
This is not routinely done as part of a standard eye test. In order to purchase any contact lenses you will require a signed valid prescription from your optician. This means you will need to find another optician that will be able to fit you with contact lenses
Since the office you got your glasses from doesn’t do contact lens prescriptions, they have no information regarding the parameters you need for your contact lenses. The measurements taken for glasses are completely different that the measurements needed for contact lens wearers. You need to be seen by another doctor for a contact lens exam. Bring your eyeglasses prescription with you to the new office so you don’t have to have that part of the exam done again.
During the contact lens exam, special measurements of the front of your eye (cornea) will be taken to determine the base curve needed for your contacts. Without this exam being done, there’s no way to know what your base curve is.
