Can Colored Contacts Damage Your Eyes in Anyway?

Okay well i have super dark brown eys but sometI ames they change to a lighter brown (which is weird). I want to get hazel colored contacts. I want a little info before i use them. Can they damage my eye in anyway? What are the hazards?

I’ve had the red and itchy crap happen to me before but it’s not that bad. It leaves in a day or so. My eyes got like that from eye shadow. I guess i’m allergic!

The only hazards I know of are that if there not cleaned regularly they can scratch your eyes pretty bad. O also if they aren’t clean you can get a certain kind of infection in your eye… gets it all red and itchy and you need a prescription from the doc
um dont think so but wash your hands
they can make your eyes itchy.
