Can Contact Lenses Replace Swimming Goggles?

I haven’t worn contact lenses before. Do they cut water off my eyes? Or I need to put on goggles too, to see clearly, and to protect my eyes from the water when I go skinny dipping?

Contact lenses cannot replace swimming goggles.
When you look in the water with contacts, it looks just like it would without them.
it is actually REALLY bad for your eyes if you wear contacts in the pool. I get lazy and do it often and then I get eye infections DNS always get reddy vainy eyes.
also the contacts are not supposed to touch any other sources if liquid except your eye.
that’s why the contacts stay in place. Right on the darker circle of your eye. Never rolls to the white parts. That’s because your darkcircle-pupile (I ferget what its called) is more liquidy and moist, so the contacts stuck to the more liquidy part. If you go in the pool or wherever…its free to come off your eye and float away. You are never supposed wear contacts when swimming.

You cant wear contact lenses in any water, especially swimming, if you need to see better while you are swimming though, you can buy goggles with your perscription in them from the opticians, they are a bit expensive, but worth it if you swim often and will get a lot of use from them xx

no do not expose them directly to the water. put the googles on top if you really need them to see

You can wear contacts when swimming, though if you do not wear goggles, you will probably lose them (or at least greatly increase your risk–contacts do not keep water out of your eyes, and since contacts are mostly water, there is a good chance the contact will just float out of your eye if you open your eyes underwater for an extended period of time).

Contacts do not replace goggles. Contacts can replace the need obviously for prescription goggles, and allow you to wear regular goggles.

well they say you can’t wear contact lenses in water b/c it the chlorine might do damage to them but if you need them to see well when you swim then you can wear them but be careful not to get to much water in your eyes so yeah i think you should wear goggles too b/c the contact lenses are only gonna help you see better not much of anything else but that.
