I had a conversation about contact lenses I used to wear in Junior High school back in Arizona and she asked me if diabetics could wear contact lenses. I had to be honest and tell her I didn’t know. I’d appreciate any help on this.

I could, of course, get contacts, but the problem isn’t with the diabetes! It is with the amount of dust Arizona sends to Texas right across New Mexico! It hurts too much to try to wear contacts in this mid portion of the southwest.
There is no connection between contacts and diabetes. Other than the requirements of both to have annual or semi annual checks with your doctors.
Yes but as with anything else always inform other health professionals that your diabetic and inform them of what medications you are taking as some medicines could have an impact on your vision.
Yes they can wear contact lenses. All Depend if they are diabetic type 1 or 2 .As long as they are not in insulin .Because the patients in insulin are hard to care for the diabetic and do not like to fallow they diets as well. He don’t like to fallow the diet and he get up at night to eat things he don’t suppost to eat. His Blood sugar is always elevate from150 to 495.we are having a hard time with him.
I am 13 and have type 1 diabetes. I wear contact every single day. Yes it is alright. My doctors don’t even mention contacts. They don’t effect diabetics in any way.
