Can I Buy This Contact Lens Prescription? -6.25 Vs -6 or -6.5?

Hi! one of my eyes has -6.25 sphere as a prescription… But many places where I order contact lenses from only offer -6.0 or -6.5… would either of these be close enough to my actual prescription of -6.25 to use occasionally? (I wouldn’t be wearing them everyday). If so, which would be "better", -6.0 or -6.5? Or should I really stick to -6.25? The website that offers -6 and -6.5 is very cheap, while the lenses that I can get in -6.25 are very expensive. What should I do? I’ll be using the lenses very rarely… Any advice would be appreciated… thanks!!!!

You need a doctor to determine your contact lens prescription. If you wear -6.25 in glasses, your contact lens rx will be very different. Only your doctor can determine which power, base curve, diameter, and lens works best for you.

hi. my contact lenses were a 6.25 and my eyesight was the same when i had my last check. the guy told me that a 6.50 in contacts would make the vision sharper.. to be honest, i don’t think there was much of a difference and it doesn’t strain the eye so you should be fine!

If you wear glasses with large diopter you contact lens diopter will be smaller. But you need to consult a medic.
