Can I Get Contact Lenses for Free at 15?

I’m sick of wearing glasses and was wondering if I was eligible to get contact lenses instead? Could I get them free with the NHS or something? Or will I still have to pay, and if so, how much?

Having non-perfect vision is unfortunately quite expensive. You also need to factor in the requirement to have your eyes checked when you have disposables. This sort of thing used to be VAT free but ages back they put VAT on them. Its one of the few taxes I really resent.
You can get some trial ones from your eye doctor to see if contacts would work for you and what brand fits best.

that said, once you have had the optician consultation and have settled on the type that suits, buy them from postoptics or contactlenses.co.uk as it is cheaper than from the optician. I pay about £120 a year for my monthly disposables.
