Can I Just Get a Vision Exam at Walmart Vision Center or Eyeglass World?

I hate going to the eye doctor. I don’t like getting my eyes poked and dilated. Can I just get a Vision exam to get my prescription renewed? As in, can they just show me the eye chart and I read it and get that exam? I ran out of contacts and I really don’t want to go through the ENTIRE eye exam…..

Lol thats weird I got my fist eye exam for contact lenses like 3 weeks ago and there was no poking or anything like that She just had a machine that shoots eye drops in your eye and a machine that made my eyes follow the red dot then i did the eye chart and watched like a 10min contact lenses video I went to the Walmart vision center
well, seeing as how you’re asking the doc to take over the medical liability involved in writing his/her name on the contact lens Rx…
unlikely.
FYI there’s a lot more to an eye exam than reading letters. if you could just come up with an Rx after you get someone to "show you the eye chart", dont you think someone would have figured out a way to do it by now?
