Can I Nap in My Contact Lenses Just for a Little While?

We came back from a picnic, and I got told I slept for half an hour. Luckily, nothing happened to my eyes since I’ve read about what might occur. For next tI ame, I’m wondering if it’s safe to NAP in contact lenses? I wear Optix O2 if that helps.
See, the thing is that I have a tendency to sleep in the car when we go on long trips, but I also want to wear my contact lenses to see the places we’re visiting!

I nap in my contacts all the time and I never have a problem. Just keep a little bottle of rewetting drops with you in case they feel dry afterwards.
i nap in my contacts all the time – i’ve even worn them overnight – i don’t recommend. but napping in them is fine. Just keep eyedrops on hand so they don’t get too dried out.
i personally think its fine on occasion for most people. especially in o2 optix.
yeah, you could… but it just feels yucky when you wake up. make sure you have rewetting drops to re-moisten your eyes after waking up. it will help
Even when I wore hard contact lenses I would nap in them all the time and never had a problem other than dryness. If you find yourself sleeping in your contacts all the time, maybe you should try Night & Day lenses, which you can wear 24/7 for up to 30 days. I’ve worn them for more than 2 years and love not having to mess with them everyday.
I don’t know .. You might consider getting some glasses also they’re easy to take care of. Ask your eye doctor because it might depend on the kind of contacts that you have.
I’ve been told by my doctor that sleeping causes protein build up & is not good for your eyes. I, however, sleep & live in my contacts 24-6 (I usually give my eyes a rest 1 day out of the week if they seem to be really irritated). So in answer to your question: yes it is ok to nap in your contacts. Your eyes may feel a little dry or scratchy after the first couple times, but I think it is worth the consequences.
yeah but don’t drive while you are asleep =D
it is kick ass wearing contacts 24/7. nothing will happen besides them drying. this 1 time, at band camp, i was wearing them. then i fell asleep and woke up. i was still wearing them, and nothing happened. hehe. they’re good to wear 24/7.
