Can I or an Eye Doctor Know My Vision by Looking at My Glasses?

I have prescription glasses and I want to get contacts. I don’t want to take an eye exam, so can I give the optical my glasses so they can figure out my vision and get me contacts?

You have to take an eye exam sorry, contacts are prescribed differently to glasses.
They can tell your prescription from your glasses, but they have to look into your eyes for other measurements, and to make sure your eyes are healthy.
