No. Glasses and contact lenses can be a different strength. Whenever you go to an optometrist, they write a RX for glasses and a separate one for contacts. For example, if you have an astigmatism, did they write a RX for non astimagtic contacts? Second, no optician will accept a contact lens RX for glasses for several reasons. If you are wanting to buy glasses online, including the frame, there is a certain measurement the optician has to have called a PD in order to make sure that the glasses lens sit correctly in the line of sight. It would be better just to go to your optometrist and ask for a copy of the GLASSES RX. If you got a contact lens exam, then you have glasses RX there too. It’s simple to get, unless it has been over a year. And if you try to buy contacts just with the boxes, before whoever orders the contact lens, they will verify the RX with the doctor, to make sure it’s still a valid RX.

i would suggest getting your prescription checked again before getting the glasses because your eyes may have changed

Contact lense prescriptions and glasses prescriptions can be the same or very different depending on your prescription. The box is not a sufficient avenue to purchase more lenses. That is like taking an empty bottle to the pharmacy and having them duplicate what is inside. If you have a current prescription, get it from your doctor. If not, you need an eye exam. Do not mess around with short cuts. Your eye health is way too important.
