Can I Wear Contact Lenses at a Water Park?

Can I wear contact lenses when I swI am in water at a water park and go on rides and stuff?

How about when I go naked swimming at my friend’s pool?

Thanks.

Mixing water and contacts is extremely dangerous. Water is not meant to clean or disinfect your contacts. Despite it attracts unwanted bacteria, fungi and viruses.

    Example
Acanthamoeba keratitis is a disease caused by a water amoeba. You will need several corneal transplants to salvage your eye from total blindness. If you’re not lucky, it can make your eyeball rot.

You can, but there’s a chance they can come off and your eyes can get infected.

yes, but its risky you can get infected if your eyes loose them.

no not at all big risk big risk infection, losing contacts for sure, cost of new contacts

I usually wear glasses and bought contacts just for this reason. We were heading to Blizzard Beach at Disney and I wanted to wear contacts. I love wearing them! Just make sure you bring that little case thingy and possibly an extra set of contacts, just in case. There is a lot of splashing, but like I said, I had no problems.

    Have fun!
