Can I Wear Contact Lenses if I Have Sensitive Eyes?

I have really sensitive eyes, to the point where even if I get a bit of water in them they really hurt. Is it possible for me to where contact lenses?

go to ur eye doctor , try different brands and then let him tell about ur options
Of course you can, but you’re going to have to get a really special brand. You have to give it some time though because there is always a lttle bit of pain at the beginning of starting contacts.
you should try because they are much better than glasses, but from the sound of it.. your eyes sound too sensitive. i could poke my eyes all day, it doesnt bother me thats why my contacts don’t, but my boyfriend tried and he couldnt because when he tried to put the contact in, he blinked too much.
yea but you will have to get a good brand and it will take time b4 you are comfortabl with putting them in and out every day
Depends on what you mean by sensitive. Do you have allergies? There are issues with wearing contact lenses (basically you are sticking a foreign object in your eye), most having to do with cleanliness and risk of infection. Using contact lenses requires a certain discipline in preparing and cleaning the lenses. Some people just can’t wear them. I had to give up contact lenses because my eyes weren’t producing enough moisture (the lens "floats" on a thin layer of liquid and deosn’t actually rest on the eye itself). Bottom line, any good opthamologist should be able to tell you whether your eyes can handle contact lenses.
Yes – I have EXTREMLEY sensitive eyes, and I figured I wouldn’t be able to get contacts. But I talked to my doctor about it, and he got me Acuvue Advance with Hydraclear. You can always ask to try a couple different brands & see what works out best.
