Can I Wear My Contact Lenses While Swimming Competitively?

I use contact lenses particularly to see far away (they are disposable though every 2 weeks) and was wondering if I could use them while swimming, of course I will have goggles on but I know that sometiems water can leak in

Ya! I wear mine everyday for swimming
Well, u could wear them, but if water gets in them, they will of course irritate ur eyes, but u could try getting prescription goggles.
probly wouldnt hurt i swim with mine in no goggles :p
To be honest, I am not quite sure, but I do know my friend who wears glasses uses these goggles that have corrective lenses. They look like any other goggle, but they are not mirrored. You could use those during practice instead of contacts just to be on the safeside
The goggles were Speedo Vanquishers, I believe, I love them and they are great as an all around goggle for training or racing 
I know there are also other sites out there that make prescription goggles for about 20 bucks so check those out too! Good luck!
