Can Wearing Contact Lenses Affect Red-eye in Photographs?

I always always always have red eye in photographs, even when I am in a large group and nobody else has it and even when the camera used has red-eye reduction. I wear contact lenses and wondered if this could be the cause? If not, is it something to worry about? An eye condition for example?

No. Red eye is due to reflection of light from your retina through a large pupil. Likely you have larger pupils than other people, contacts will not affect pupil size.

Actually if you are wearing contacts that are not your actual eye color then it can affect it in a scientific study it showed people with light skin and blue eye didn’t get as much red eye In a photo then Somone with dark skin and browns eyes so it depends really…
