Can You Put "daily" Contact Lenses in a Cleaning Solution? (See Details)?

I want to know if i can use a "daily" contact lens on more than a single day. Especially since I never wear my contacts for a full day. I would then put the "daily" lens in a solution for reuse.

Here’s a sample schedule of my contact lens wear:

wednesday: 7PM to 10PM (Sports) ~ 3 hrs
Friday: 7PM to 12AM (Going out) ~ 5 hrs
Saturday: 7PM to 12AM (Going out) ~ 5 hrs
Sunday: 9AM- 10PM (Outdoor sports) ~ 11 hrs

Would it be alright to wear the same daily lens on Wednesday, Friday & Saturaday night? I would put it back in a cleaning solution in-between. I would use a new pair of contacts on Sunday.

I did not ask my local eye practician with this question since he tries to scare his clients from buying contacts online (which are by the way 2x cheaper than his). He probably also wants every piece of money I have.

I am asking since I think that 2-week lenses are just too expansive for occasional wear.

Their like the EXACT same thing as the contacts you keep in for 2 weeks, lol…You’ll be fine!

No, that’s not alright! D: See, "daily" lenses are designed in a way that makes them a one-time-up-to-12-hours-of-use kind of thing. You may put them into solution for cleaning, but for NO MORE than 5 minutes. I asked my optometrist about that too, and that is what he told me. Bottom line: put them in, wear them for up to 12 hours ("when in doubt, take them out!" xD) and throw them out! Use a new pair each day! :)

Daily lenses aren’t designed for this kind of use. If you compare one to, say, a monthly or biweekly difference, you can feel the difference: daily lenses feel thinner and more fragile than the others. Generally speaking, dailies can’t stand up to the rigors of cleaning, rubbing, and disinfection; sometimes we’re lucky if they can handle more than a couple cycles of insertion and removal when we first teach people to use contacts. If you just take them out and dump them in solution, they’ll probably stay intact but won’t be cleaned properly, so still not a good idea.
That’s not to say you can’t take them out and clean them, but to re-use them more than once is just asking for trouble. Why not get biweekly or monthly lenses and wear them more than ~19 hours per week?
And, for the record, your local eye practitioner may seem expensive for the lenses, but he or she is going to seem even more expensive if you have to pay for several office visits if you end up with problems from Internet-sourced lenses (particularly if you ignore what I’ve said above and re-use your lenses). Did you at least get them fit properly the first time?

Yes you could use them for about 2-3 days if you are lucky. actually most people use them for about 6-7 hours a day, thats why daylies are usuable for 12-15 hours. so if you used them lets say 5 hours the day before, and put them on solution the whole night for at least 4-5 hours you should be allright in other words i think that if you DO decide to reuse them, be sure to put them on a well closed case with the bit of water it comes with on the little packages. many people say this is not safe to do but you should be all riggt!! :D but remember im not 100′% prexent sure
