Can Contact Lenses be Worn Underwater?

I want to know if it is safe for me to keep my contacts in while I am swimming and skinny dipping under water in a salt water pool or the ocean with my contacts in and clothes off. Am I still naked if I’m wearing just contact lenses?

No. It is really bad for the contacts because they are only supposed to be in your eye or in the contact fluid. Don’t do it. Its a very very bad idea. I almost did it but i thought about what my doctor told me and she said that it was one of the worst you could do to your contacts and that it could really irritate your eye afterward.

No, you shouldn’t swim or use a sauna, whirlpool, or hot tub with contacts in, even if you keep your eyes closed. The risk of bacterial infection is astronomical! Swimming in the ocean with contacts is ok, if you keep your eyes closed – otherwise the lens will float right off your eye.

Not a good idea. Easy fix…put some goggles on. And put some clothes on, too!
