I need it for the DMV, but my insurance doesn’t have dental or vision. Wal Mart is and Costco is . I’m still researching. Can anyone recommend any place that does a cheaper eye exam?

I started my specsavers monthly contact lens trial today.
I have never had contacts before.

Anyway, I was taking out my left contact lens, but I don’t know whether it went down the drain or whether it is still in my eye.

my left eye does feel every so slightly uncomfortable, but perhaps I am just being paranoid because I can’t find my left contact lens.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have looked all around my bathroom, and on the floor but have had no success.

Also, will Specsavers replace the lens for free?
I have tried checking under my eyelids but can’t really see anything. But I don’t know if I am checking properly

I went in for an eyes exam and he told me that my vision uncorrected was 20/400 for both eyes, however I noticed that other doctors use 20/100. Whats the difference.

I just had my first eye exam and was prescribed with glasses. I am going back on Monday to pick them up and I have already scheduled a contact fitting for 2 weeks after that (under the advice of my doctor saying I should get used to the glasses for a couple of weeks first). I’m wondering, what else could they POSSIBLY test for for the contacts? I used 5 different machines (at least!) for just the regular exam! One, I think, tested my near and far vision. One tested my peripheral. One was the eye pressure (air puff) test. One was the retina camera. One was measuring the centers of my eyes for my glasses lenses. What else is there?! What tools/machines do they use to measure the actual size/shape of my eye for contacts?

I don’t have any vision insurance, but I need to either get contacts or have lasik. Since I am still young, 23, people have said to hol off on lasik. I know you do need a contact lens exam to get a contact lens prescription. Does anyone know the best/most affordable place to do this? Would lenscrafters be good, or someplace like Walmarts vision center be better?

I just started wearing contacts a couple of days ago. I use Opti-Free replenish solution. Whenever I put the contacts on, my eyes become irritated, red, and watery.
Is this normal? Is it because my eyes haven’t gotten used to the contacts? Should I wait a little longer?
Or am I allergic to the solution? I don’t know what the problem is.
I have contact lens for astigmatism.
And my contact lens are thick (since my prescription is -13).

Before I ever had seizure I was already wearing glasses but the prescription weren’t bad and I didn’t need to wear them 24-7. Just when I needed to see something that was at a far distance. But in 2002 I had my first Seizure and put on Anti-Convulsants. I’ve had a few seizures after the first one but I was having trouble with my vision so I went to get my eyes examined and was given glasses of a stronger prescription. That was about 3-4 yrs ago but just a FEW days ago I got new glasses cuz my old frames were worn out. I again got another exam and found my eyes were worse. I’m not doing anything that might make your vision go bad. But I’m wearing glasses as thick as a Bullet-Proof glass window and I wanna know if possibly Seizure could be the cause. I occasionally still have seizures but I’m conscious and no trembling of the body. Just like few second phases which neurologist says might be caused by stress not by the medication not working. Whats your opinion guys ??

I am involved in school, and play many accuracy games in my spare time. I want my vision to be as good as I can get it. I had an eye exam about four years ago and was deemed "Fine". Is it possible to have glasses for vision beyond what is perfect, or what would be considered very good?

I got a physical at the end of the summer. The nurse asked if i wore glasses or contacts, i obv. said no. I took the test, couldn’t read until the 3rd line down and she asked me if i was sure i didn’t wear glasses. She said i had 20/50 vision. Should i go to the eye doctor for an exam? I have been using a solution called "complete multi purpose solution" to clean and store my lenses.
i just brought a new solution called opti free replenish as a friend recommended it.
would it be ok to use my new solutionon on the same lenses that has already been used with another solution?

I had Lasik six months ago to correct nearsightedness and everything seemed to be fine. Then over the past few weeks my vision has become increasingly hazy, and it feels like a lot of pressure in my eyes. I went back to the Lasik clinic for an exam, and they said my vision is 20/20 and the pressure in my eyes tested normally as well.

They said maybe it could be sinuses so I got some over-the-counter pills, but I haven’t seen any improvement.

I thought it could be tired eyes since I work on the computer all day, but it is just as bad when I wake up (when my eyes should be rested).

What could this be? They said there could be some medical condition causing this because my eyes are fine. It will take me awhile to see the doctor since they are overflowing with flu patients right now.

Any ideas of something I could try until then? I have to close my eyes every few minutes to try to refocus them. Thank you.

I have myopia (nearsightedness). Is it possible to cure this myopia with exercises with the eyes. I have been doing some exercises about 3 times a month, and actually have had slim improvement. I recently had an exam from a ophthalmologist and my vision improved from -2.25 to -2.00. Was this just a fluke from the exam, or was it actually improvement on the eyes?
The improvement was about 1 year from last year to this year.

I got my last prescription for glasses 2 or 3 years ago and have been wearing them ever since
i just recently has an eye exam and was told to update my prescription.. the problem is I cant afford new glasses for about another month or two
Will I damage my vision if I wait that long to get new glasses?

P.S- I don’t have any vision problems or anything like that at the moment, i just need a stronger prescription i guesss..
