I’m glad you’re going to the doctor to get your colored contacts checked before you put any in your eye. Bad brand names by shady companies have been known to cause blindness. Acuvue is a great, well known producer of colored contacts, and they sell theirs for $30. Not only that, but if you go to their website, you can get a set of free trial lenses. Check out http://www.acuvue.com to see their different shades of lenses on their models and you can see what color you think would look best with your hair and skin color!

well 1. you can’t get color changing contacts at the doctor.
they have nothing to do with your health. you would get them i think pretty much anywhere glasses are sold. and you chould get a gold//honeyish color or green…hope this helps..!

Contacts comes in boxes they usually cost $20-30 a box.
If you have brown eyes, I think hanzel would look great!
You don’t want something outrageous like blue or gray!

I’m sure you already know that a regular doctor won’t prescribe contacts, and that you have to go to an optometrist/opthalmologist. I’ve worn colored contacts for years, but I have light eyes so they work pretty well. Typically, colored contacts don’t work well on brown eyes, they either don’t show up or look ridiculously fake and kind of scary. Some brands are better than others, but there are new ones coming out all the time, so you’re best off to ask the eye doctor what he or she recommends. If you’re thinking about it, ask if they have any you can try because you may hate how they look once you see them on. (True story – I have green eyes so I thought green contacts would just enhance the color – I looked like an alien. It was beyond ugly and I was very glad I tried them before I ordered them.)

Typically, a box of monthly clear contacts (6 lenses) are around $35 per box. Colored contacts of the same brand are $50 per box, so they’re not cheap.

If you don’t need to be wearing contacts, I do not recommend getting them just for the "look", nor will most doctors. It takes time to clean them properly and can irritate your eyes and cause serious damage if something scratches them.
