Contact Lens Prescription Help !?

I wear two different prescriptions for contacts, in my left -1.00 and in my right -.50. If i were to put the -1.00 lens in the eye that wears -.50 could i damage my eyesight further? I am asking because i ran out of lenses that are -.50 and i am driving a long distance and really need to be able to see and my lenses haven’t arrived yet. Please help!

It wont damage your eye site more, but things will look blurry in you right eye. If you’re like me blurry vision gives me a headache. If you have a pair of glasses you can wear those instead for now. Or just deal with the blurred vision until you get the new pair.

    Can you wear your glasses?

An 0.50 over-correction in one eye won’t do any permanent harm.

You may not notice any problem, or you may develop fatigue and a bit of a headache, both temporary.

If you are left eye dominant, you might be better wearing only the -1.00 in th left eye, but more people are right eye dominant.

This *is* what spare spectacles are supposed to be about.
No-one wants them till they suddenly need them.

Yes-not to mention the giant headache you will probably have because your brain is trying to figure out what is going on!

same thing with me. i have ran out and had to wear my left eye contacts in my right eye. its better than not wearing any. I dont think it will damage your eyesight since its a better prescription. if you were to put the -.50 in the eye that wears -1.00 you might have a problem but as long as you use the one that has a higher correction and not lower, it shouldnt matter
