Contact Lens Prescription HELP!?

If i have astigmatism, and my degree is

(left): -3.50 (SPH) -1.25 (CYL) x 170 (AXIS)
(right): -2.25 (SPH) -1.25 (CYL) x 180 (AXIS)

Then if i wear contact lens that are -3.75 (left) and -2.75 (right),
would it make a big difference :/

Will it completely blind/blur my vision if i wear those lens? T_T

It can harm your vision. Is it worth it? I don’t think so.0

First of all, is the prescription that you’ve given for contacts or spectacles?? I’ll assume that it’s for contacts and answer your question.

You do have quite a bit of astigmatism ( telling from the CYL). And you want to use spherical contacts instead of toric…So let me calculate the spherical equivalent of your perscription:

    Left Sphere – half Cyl = -3.50-0.75 = -4.25
    Right: -2.25-0.75 = -3.00

This means that if you had to wear non-toric/spherical contacts, then your left eye would need -4.25 and your right would need -3.00.

Yes, your vision will be blurry: 1) your prescription is higher than the lenses you have 2) your astigmatism is quite high so I would recommend getting toric lenses instead. But it also depends on whether or not you have been using cyl in your prescription…If you have not, then maybe -3.75 and -2.75 will not be too bad.

Try them on! See the difference for yourself :) It’s not going to harm your vision. Just discontinue them if your vision is blurry. Simple!

    Hope this helps.
