Contact Lens Question Regarding Eye?

can a eye doctor be able to find the prescription off hard contact lens off the contacts? can that be suitable for the eye docotor as a hard contact fitting which can save me money?

I highly doubt any optometrist is going to do a new fitting of RGP lenses without doing his own eye exam on you first.
It is possible to read the prescription off the lenses, if they have the type of lensometer that can do it , but I’m certain no one would do a new fitting that way.
