CONTACT LENS WEARERS O_O?
when you went to the eye doctor to get your prescription for your first contact lenses did he/she give you a free trial pair?
also are they expensive? i have myopia and i think my prescription is somewhere around -7 on both eyes. something like that.
have you had any issues with your lenses or are they better than glasses?

They’ve always given me a free trial pair, and sometimes they even give you a free trial of contact solution. Contact lenses are more corrective than glasses, and I see better in them. I’ve had issues with dry eyes and it took me a couple of tries to find a solution I wasn’t allergic to, but it’s worth it.
contact lenses I think are better than glasses because you could look up and not see the top of the frame. But you would still have to have glasses because you can’t wear them for too long. I’ve been wearing contacts since I was 9 due to sports. If you get soft contact lenses they rip easily so be careful I’ve never had hard contacts so i don’t know. Contacts could be expensive depending on the brand from where they’re made. I know acuvue oasis is around $30-34. Acuvue 1 day is around $17 so it depends
Yes, I was given a trial pair for a week which was free of charge. I started off wearing contacts which you could wear during the day but not at night at first but now I wear contacts that you can sleep in. Not sure what the prices are in the US but neither are expensive in the UK (between £15-20 per month).
I’ve been wearing contacts for 10 years (I also have myopic vision -4.25) and I can honestly say I have never had any serious problems. However I still own a pair of glasses just for the days when my eyes may be red or sore. Plus the optician will advise you to have a pair of glasses so that you can give your eyes a rest from the contacts regularly. So you will still need to buy glasses.
I wear contacts and glasses. My first several prescriptions have started out with a trial pair for a week and then back to the doc to see how they worked out for me. I usually try to find a doc that has coupons. A local for me has the eye exam, script, and either 2 boxes of contacts (1 box per eye since both eyes are usually not the same strength,) or glasses. The box has six contacts in it, which will last you for about 2 months. Depending on the kind of contacts you get you can wear them longer or shorter amounts of time prior to changing out for a fresh pair.
I only had one issue, and I’ve been wearing contacts for 10 years. I wore my contacts for too long without taking them out to clean them and let my eyes rest. I got a severe infection. It made my face swell up, but the good news is that so long as you wear them according to the docs orders this is not going to happen.
I like contacts because I can wear stylish sunglasses, helps me avoid blemishes on my nose, and at night I don’t have to worry about glare while driving.
Good Luck in school!
Well when you have contacts you still need a good pair of glasses cause you can’t wear them for 12 hours + in a row. Personally I love them, you see my eyes and they arent always getting dirty. But they are more work and you have to be careful with them. I LURVE.
i wear the 1 days there well better than glasses and yes you can get a free trial
My doctor gave me an eyes examination last week
After that, I’m permitted to bring home a pair of contact lens for a week in order to verify whether I’m allergic to them. Luckily that everything was ok and I just returned them to him this morning
