		<description>You do understand that Night and Day are monthly replacement lenses. Assuming your new optometrist told you that, there is no question that he is giving you better care than your first optometrist did. However there are three things your first optometrist did not know. Whether it is his fault for not asking or listening well or your fault for not telling him, I can&#039;t say.
1. You didn&#039;t mind buying twice as many Fresh Look lenses as he was trying to sell you. Fresh Look are FDA  approved and marketed by Ciba as two week lenses. However most people can safely wear them for up to a month. Recommending them for a month would be considered off label use. This is legal. It is also ethical in my opinion if he did it to save you money. If he charged you twice as much for his Fresh Look lenses because they were monthly replacement, it wasn&#039;t so ethical.
2. You were really uncomfortable in the lenses you were wearing. We have a tendency to assume lenses that have worked in the past still work.
3. You would give up color to get a more comfortable lens. I think all optometrists know that Fresh Look lenses are not the best lens out there. They have missed several generations of evolution from the lenses that we prefer to fit. However they do come in the best colors. Frankly we don&#039;t understand why people would put up with them to change their perfectly beautiful brown eyes to some shade of green. There are a lot of people that make that choice. We tend to wash our hands of getting them something better since that is what they want.</description>

It wouldn&#039;t have made much sense for your previous Dr. to give you 2 week trial lenses before ordering the yearly ones, The idea of trial lenses is to trial the same lens as you will be getting. 

Yearly lenses all have a 30 or 60 day guaranty though, so if they don&#039;t fit right, we can return them for credit.

If your lenses don&#039;t fit right, it&#039;s the Dr.&#039;s fault, not yours. But it is your responsibility to let them know there is a problem as soon as possible.

The Freshlooks are approved only as a 2 week disposable in North America, but in Europe they are approved as a monthly lens. All the UK contact lens websites advertise them as a monthly lens.

Ciba Vision went after a 2 week approval here to sell more lenses, that&#039;s all. But, they are actually good for a month.</description>
