I don’t need glasses or contact lenses, but I do own color contacts. The very first time I tried them was last year at my best friend’s house. What you do is:
1. Wash your hands
2. Dry them thoroughly
3. Soak contacts in solution
4. Put lense on tip of index finger
5. With one hand, pull upper lid up.
6. With other hand, use middle finger to pull lower lid down.
7. With index finger, place the lense on eye while still moist.
8. Keep eyes open with finger, and wait for 3 seconds.
9. Close your eyes for 2 seconds.
10. Open. Should be in place now.
11. If not, repeat these steps.
Practice seriously makes perfect in this situation.
Taking the contacts out is just like this:
1. Repeat steps 5-6 from above.
2. With index finger and thumb,
grasp the lense from eye so it somewhat folds.
3. Take them out, put them in solution.
ALL DONE! Good luck!
P.S.- When you take them out, you would feel "pain" or much discomfort, if at all, because the lense is protecting your eye.
When putting them IN though, it might feel cool.
I’ve been wearing contacts for two years – and the first time I put them in I was terrified but I easily got used to it. The best thing to do is to not thing, and just gently push it in. Make sure your eye is wide and make sure you’ve rinsed it with solution so it doesnt sting – then massage your eye lid to get rid of any air bubbles and voila! Your contacts are in.
Hope it helped xx
Not really… Honestly, you’ll just have to deal with it. And then prepare yourself for a few days of feeling like you have something in your eye. Within about a week, you’ll be more comfortable with the process and the feeling. You’ll be fine. Try putting solution in the contact before putting it in your eye – it will help moisten your eye and the contact should slide in easier. They won’t kill you, honest.
Just do it. After awhile you can do it whit out looking (i can atleast
). Just don’t be scared, nothing is gonna happen if you touch your eyes. But remember to always clean your hand before you put the lenses in.
ok i think i was around 13 or 14 when i started to wear contacts…i had the HARDEST time at first..the place where i went had a rule-if you couldnt put them in at the doctor’s office then you couldnt take them home!-so, it took me 2 or 3 visits! lol i really thought i couldnt do it..eventually i got them in. your eyes will tear up. you will get frustrated but you will get used to it trust me. just dont give up! it’s a very foreign thing for your fingers to be touching your eyes and not to mention a foreign object going in them…but they will adjust. i found that only i could put in my contacts. at first, they try to do it for you. to me, that was waaay too uncomfortable (someone’s else’s finger going in my eye?? i dont think so!), so try what is comfortable to you.
easy i wear contacts everyday
just stare at the mirrior and put ur lenses in
how i do it is that my secret is that i put the drops in before i put my lenese in
and put it after i put my lenses in
when u put drops in, it’s soothing for ur eyes
and when u put it in, u won’t fear because u can’t really see
for example u put drops in ur eyes. then it starts it get blurry
hurry and put ur contacts in while u can’t see well
don’t worry u’ll still be able to see where u put ur contact lensees
Contacts aren’t a big deal, just close your eyes and it’ll be over before you know it.
