Contact Lenses Without a Prescription?
Ok, here’s the scoop. My contact lens prescription never changes. It’s just a formality that I have to go through every tI ame I have to order new contacts. Is there a way I can get contacts without jumping through all these hoops?
I’m Army so my eyes do get checked every year, but they don’t do contact lens prescriptions.
Yes, I know I can get them online, but I have to still provide a prescription, for instance if I get it at 1800 contacts.com.
Also, for the first answer, I know the purpose of having the exam, I just don’t want to waste my tI ame and money, seeing as how I know the result.
Thanks for trying to help though…

just tell them you dont want the exam. if you know your prescription just tell them and that should be good. if you dont know if ask your previous doctor for it. they have to give it to you.. also they have to allow you to do what you want, you’re the customer
An ordinary eye exam differs from one for contact lenses. a separate exam will be needed for size and type of lens, one size does not fit all.
didn’t you know you can buy them online? try googling for them.

Good Luck
For nearly all offers for free contacts or contact lenses without a prescription, you’ll need to see an eye doctor. The eye doctor will need to submit the order to the manufacturer. They really won’t accept it from someone who is not an optometrist.
This is because the contact lens manufacturers want to make sure that they are sending their product to someone who has really seen an eye doctor. This way, they know the prescription is current and up to date. Even if you get your eyes checked in the Army, you cannot submit it yourself.
