Could I Pass the USMC Eye Exam with an Eyesight of 20/70?

my M.O.S was going to be 0311 (Infantry) but with my vision I don’t know if I would pass. Or can I get a wavier signed or something? Or If not 0311 what other M.O.S could I consider doing with my eyesight the way it is? And yes that is my vision even being corrected with glasses.

. Distant visual acuity, of any degree that does not correct with spectacle lenses to at least one of the following (367):

      (1) 20/40 in one eye and 20/70 in the other eye.

      (2) 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other eye.

      (3) 20/20 in one eye and 20/400 in the other eye. However, for entrance into a military academy, distant visual acuity that does not correct to 20/20 in each eye is disqualifying. For entrance into ROTC programs and OCS/OTS, distant visual acuity that does not correct to 20/20 in one eye and 20/100 in the other eye is disqualifying.

I just joined the Navy and I have an eyesight of 20/400, but it is correctable to 20/20. If your 20/70 is correctable to 20/20, I would imagine you would be just fine. But, with me not being in the Marines or being a recruiter, I couldn’t tell you for sure. You’re best bet would be to talk to a recruiter. I’m sure there is some M.O.S. that will fit you with you’re eye sight.
