Do Any of You Wear Colored Contact Lenses?

I’m curious to know if it is still popular to wear colored lenses these days?

No I stopped a few years ago.

I used to spend a lot of money on blue contacts which did look pretty on me. Then one day I looked at myself and realized it wasn’t me, so I stopped. Plus I wanted to save money. That, and my eyes are pretty the way they are, and I like being more natural and believable.

I tried to put a pair in last week, but just couldn’t manage it on my own. I bought them off ebay ages ago, and just last week, I saw some in the local pharmacy. So I guess they are still popular.

umm..I used to but if you want, you can wear it anytime~
I had blue contact lenses..but they really irritated my eyes and dried up. So I don’t wear them anymore. Color contact lenses are not as healthy as non-colored ones.

    No.
    They’re misleading, and juvenile.

Yes, most definitely! Almost all of my friends have colored contacts. I actually have white ones that make me look like a vampire! They’re pretty cool :p

I think when they started coming out with the really funky colors the fad stopped. I remember being at a country diner and the waitress came up and had these horrible yellow contacts in. I was 1 crapping in my pants and 2 doing a wow why did she pick that color. They were definetly contacts not a touch of jaundice ty. Wow, that fad did go quick, I never realized it til you asked the question.

Years ago I had aqua contacts – I have green eyes – and overall they are a thicker contact than the conventional contacts. You cannot have them in as long – at least the ones I wore.

  • Betsy B says:

    no

  • Tiger Lily says:

i want to but i have a hard time putting them in

If you want to wear them and have light eyes, go with a tinted colored contact instead of the super-bright colored contacts. No human naturally has electric blue eyes – it’s just plain creepy.

For example if you have light eyes you can usually use any tinted contact and see a color change. If you have darker eyes, be careful with your color selection – if it isn’t a color of natural human eyes, then you shouldn’t be wearing it. And Liz Taylor’s violet eyes are extremely rare, so don’t even try it.

And does it really matter how popular it is to change your eye color? Who cares how popular it is, do what makes you happy.

    =o)
