This would be my first tI ame wearing circle lenses contacts and i never tried regular contacts before either. I am also going to the eye doctor. When I got contacts I had a lens fitting but it only took like 5 minutes after the exam and then they taught me how to take them on and put them off.
Also, it depends on your eye doctor. Some places will give you the prescription for free, others may charge you $5-10.

Yep. Make sure to tell your doctor that you want the exam for contacts because the exam is slightly different from the one you would take for glasses. They do charge a little more for the contact lens exam (mine does, anyway) and during the exam they’ll measure your eye and make sure your eyes are able to handle contact lenses. For some their eyes are too sensitive.

    Hope that answered your question!!

I thought circle contacts were all they made…? Anyways yeah your doctor can tell you your contact prescription.

You should check with your eye doctor to see whether or not you can wear certain types of contact lenses first. However, I bought my circle color contacts and have had no troubles so far for more than a year. Circle lenses are supposed to be softer, and conform to the shape of your eye easily. I usually get mine from here http://www.qqcontacts.com.. they have a pretty good selection of extra-wide circle lenses and are all yearly non-prescriptional. Anyways, I hope this helped!
