Do I Have to Go with a Parent to Contact Lenses Appmt?

i reeally want to get contact lenses, my parents dont really want me to though cause they keep going on about how they can be dangerous etc etc blah blah and keep putting off actually making me an appmt at specsavers and taking me…. I am 16, would i be able 2 go on my own? or with a friend maybe? cause I am siiiiiiiick of this, seeing as ive been reeally wanting them for about 2 years lol.
