Do I Need a New Brand of Contact Lenses?

I have been wearing the same contact lens brand since i was around 16, i am now 24. For a few months now I’ve been having trouble seeing clearly when wearing my contacts, even when I put a brand new pair in. However, when I wear my glasses i see perfectly clear so I don’t think my prescription changed. Is it possible I need to just switch brands?

I plan on going to the eye doctor when i run out of the remaining supply of contacts I have. Just curious if anyone has had this problem.

Yes, the problem might be the brand. You can switch to a brand made for sensitive eyes or one for dry eyes. And daily disposable are the best. Good luck!!

Yes, and it turned out I needed a new ‘script for the contacts. Glasses and contacts are different (obviously) and just because you can see clearly out of your glasses doesn’t mean your ‘script hasn’t changed. Don’t forget you have to take into consideration the shape of your eye might have changed — that’s why the contact fitting is so much more expensive than an eyeglass fitting — all the measurements needed to accurately determine refraction differnces due to the eyeball itself, not only the strength/weakness of your sight. Because most people see so much better with their tacs in (because it’s flush onto the eye) if you can see better with your glasses it’s almost a sure bet that you need a new ‘script.

Im 13 and i wore contacts since i was 11. It’s just your eyes changing. Plus glasses are one step stronger my eye doctor said. It souldn’t be the brand. Espcilly i don’t really listen to my eye doctor when he said don’t wear them more than 12 hours, Don’t swim with them, don’t shower with them. I do it anyways cuz i really cannot see good after i take them off and i don’t like my glasses. lol YOur old enough to have eye surgery, that’s what i’m going to do when i get older. I know a lot of people (adults) that have done it and it helped them a lot.
