Do I Need Another Eye Exam to Get Glasses?

i went in about a month ago and had an eye exam and recieved contact lenses. now, i would like to update my glasses prescription too. do i need to get another exam? or can they order new lenses for my glasses with the prescription from the exam i already got? thanks!

You will have to take another eye exam. Things are different for glasses than they are for contacts.
Your prescription should be good for a year. I’ve never had contact lenses, so I can only guess the strength of the lens would be the same.
Usually the prescription the doctor gives you is for eyeglasses. When you get contacts, the fitter will convert it to a contact prescription. If this wasn’t the case, just call and have them send you a copy of your eyeglass prescription. Where ever you get glasses from can also call and get it from the doctor.
Ask the Dr. for an Rx for glasses.
ya if you just got the exam a month ago they will use it for your lenses. The only time you need another one is if you notice your vision may be getting worse like its good to get a new exam every one to two years so your prescription is recent and right for your vision. Also the dr. that did your exam can give you a copy or send it to another eye glasses place if you want frames somewhere else so u don’t have to pay for it again. i got my glasses at lens crafters they have the cutest styles i think. I got some dkny glasses there and i always get compliments on them they also have prada, but if u can’t afford them walmart has some real cute glasses too and they always have specials. :0)
