Do Pro Basketball or Soccer Players Wear Contact Lenses to Play?
I play basketball and i really would like 2 not wear my normal glasses, so I am just wondering is contacts suitable for basketball and are there actually any pro basketball or soccer players that wear contact lenses when they play?

Yes they do. I wear contacts for basketball myself as I play 3 times weekly. Its good not having to worry about breaking your glasses aswell as I have had that Happen about 3 times. But although once I was very lucky because I was travelling to Melbourne, Australia to play and I left my contacts on the kitchen bench ( forgetful much!) So I didnt wear my glasses when I played because they were bent and fell off easily. I got poked in the eye really badly while playing and couldnt open my eyes for about 15 minutes and it was really painful! So i was actually happy that I forgot them that night. But its rare that this actually happens. So yeah go for it! Hopefully they can fit you in your prescription, unless you have other problems that will affect contact lense use. If you only wanted to use them to play basketball which may be once maybe twice weekly dailies would probably be the best for you.
Yes, there are many players who wear them – and in other sports too.
They are much safer than wearing glasses – especially ordinary glasses instead of sports specific ones.
