Do the Freshlook Colored Contact Lenses Feel Uncomfortable?!?!?

Sorry, that the details to my question is kinda long….

I’m looking into getting the Freshlook Colored Contact Lenses in Sea Green, Gemstone Green, or just plain Green….but my friend who also wants to get them did a little research and told me she found out that the "color" part of the contact is on the outside part of the lenses and therefore is very uncomfortable because, you would feel a little bump on the inside of your eyelids from the contacts’ color part…. I really hope that isn’t uncomfortable cause I really don’t want to get just the clear contacts instead…. please, please tell me if what my friend told me is correct. (I HOPE NOT…. but i just need a fore-warning before buying them)

some people find that the colored contacts are less comfortable than the clear ones, but they are still very comfortable. try them yourself, don’t listen to your friend!

The Freshlook lenses often are uncomfortable, and many who try them just can’t wear them….however many have no problem with them.

But it has nothing to do with feeling the color, or feeling any bump. It has to do with the fact that they only come in one curvature, and it isn’t the right curvature for everybody.

On many many people they fit too loose, and slide around a lot, causing the clear pupil to not stay centered, causing a blur in the vision, and discomfort around the edges of the lenses when they blink.

The only way for you to know if they will fit you right and be comfortable is to do it the right way, and get a trial fitting done at your eye Dr.

A trial fitting always has to be done with those lenses because so many times, they just don’t work right.

Its definitly a personal preference. If you have never worn contacts at all before then you will notice them for sure until you get used to them. Unfortunatly, Freshlook has stopped offering a prescription colored trial to wear in order to see how they work for you. Ask if you can keep a pair of the demo lenses to wear around and get a feel for them (they will have no prescription) Make sure when working with your eye doctor that you got o all your follow-up visits so that they will be more inclined to help you when you have problems with your lenses. If you still arent sure how you will do with the lenses order a minimum amount of boxes as they often cannot be returned once opened. The first time you wear them dont wear them all day. make sure you give your eyes time to adapt, use the appropriate disinfecting and rinsing solutions (opti-free has been shown to retain moisture to improve comfort) use a rewetting drop often as needed and make sure you keep in contact with your eye doctor. Dont be afraid to go back to the doctor with any questions/problems you have- after all you are the consumer and you dont want to waste your money
