Do They Teach You to Put Your Contact Lenses When You Get Your Eye Exam?

ok so i have an eye exam tomorrow and ima ask for contaacts but i want to know if they show you how to put them on after the exam or when your contacts r ready to take home??? please help

The place i go to gave me a trial pair because it takes a while to get them ordered and so they taught me then. After that i had to come back to pick them up and they told me to take them out and put them back in so they help me.

I have had contacts for about 3 years now, and they are no biggie! I was a little nervous about getting them at first because I thought they would be difficult to take care of. But my eye doctor had me practice taking them off and putting them back on while he was there over and over again until I got the hang of it. Then, you get to where them home, but you will probably have to only wear them for a couple of hours to let your eyes adjust. Every day, you extend the amount of time you wear the contacts until you can wear them all day.

They show you how to put them in, how to clean them, and how to see when they are inside-out or rightside-out. They’ll also give you suggestions, like to put the contacts in before you put makeup on and not to wear the contacts in the shower.
They’ll give you a schedule for the first week. The first day you wear them 1 hour, the second 5 hours, ect. After a week you go back and they’ll look at your eye with the contacts in to make sure your eye is responding appropriately.
