Contact Lens City

My friend got me colored contacts from Iran. The doctor there didn’t check her eyes or anything (like they do here) so I was wondering if that’s even necessary. She might’ve gotten them checked a few years ago when she was in Iran before, but I’m not sure.
I can get the contacts in, they just make my eyesight blurry occasionally. I’ve looked up how to take of them and everything I’m just wondering if it’s potentially dangerous if they’re not fitted.
