Do You Wear Contact Lenses and if So What Do You Think of Them?
I’m thinking about getting them, i’ve been wearing glasses for years and i like the idea of contact lenses in theory. However some guy i know that tried them nearly fainted when he was trying them and said they’re really uncomfortable?

no but I need to wear glasses or contacts, my vision is bad.
Yeah I wear them.
I like em, theyre much better than glasses.
As long as you NEVER sleep in them,
& take them out at night.
When first getting them,
they can make your eyes water.
ALWAYS clean them at night/
morning with Solution.
I dont know how that guy fainted… but it does get extremely annoying when you cant get them in!-_-
Oh and make sure theyre not inside out.
xx
I’ve had contacts since 5th grade and couldn’t live without them, as long as you take care of them and replace them when your suppossed to they r really comfortable
yes..i have had them for a year and at first they were fine but now they make my eyes red, so i only wear them on special occasions, but i think i need to change my solution because they get very dried out
No, I have astigmatism so i think they’re more expensive or something.
I’ve tried them on though. They are a bit uncomfortable at first (think when you have an eyelash in your eye) but then they like settle I guess, and you get used to it. Well, at least most people do.
Edit:
Oh, and they can fall out I think. So might be better to save up for lasik surgery.
I wear contacts. I love them! If you play sports or anything like that, they’re way better than glasses. And, after a while, you don’t even feel them when they’re in. Very handy.
I wear glasses. I really like them, because I look a lot better with them. The only times I wish I had contacts are when I’m playing softball, because my glasses always come off when I take my helmet off.
I love contacts and I’ve been wearing mine since 6th grade. I hate my glasses but yu should give them a try, if yu don’t like them, go back to your glasses.
No, I wear glasses I want contacts though. Purple or gray ones… Awesome…!
Ive been wearing for them for a couple years. As long as you change the solution and the contacts when there supposed be changed then there comfortable. And make sure there not inside out because that can make them really uncomfortable.
I really like them, but when I got them I had glasses but I didn’t wear them permanantly, because my vision wasn’t that bad. But when it got worse, I decided on contacts. I have soft lenses and I really like them. They’re relatively easy to get used to ( for me anyways ) and they’re really comfortable and most of the time don’t irritate my eyes at all ( sometimes I don’t clean them as well as I should! ) I usually can fall asleep in them they’re so comfortable. I have acuvue oasis… if that helps.
The thing is I’m not sure if you’d like contacts, since you’ve had glasses for so long, but give them a try, if you like them, you’ll really like them. And if not, you can always have your glasses on hand. Hard lenses are probably more uncomfortable… I bought mine from Costco, really fast service..
hi,
I only wear colored contact lenses, but my husband wears the other contact lenses instead of glasses. he thinks they’re comfortable..
he uses one day contact lenses, they’re much more comfortable because they’re thinner than the regular lenses and their cleaner cuz you wear them only one day throw them the other.
I used to wear soft lenses for about 4 years until they made my eyes go very dry so I couldn’t wear then anymore. I guess they’re okay, but looking back, they’re really a bit of a hassle.
If you get soft lenses you won’t be able to feel a thing, really. In my case, my eyes reacted badly to them after a while.
Your mate might have tried hard lenses, I tried those after I found that I couldn’t use soft lenses, but since my eyes were already used to the soft ones the hard ones were too painful to get used to. If you get the right fit and shape they won’t hurt, but it will feel uncomfortable in the beginning until you get used to them (a couple of weeks).
See you optometrist about getting soft lenses. They come in daily, two weekly, and monthly. I had the monthly ones just because I wore them everyday. But if you just want to test a pair out to see if you feel comfortable with them, I suggest you get a set of daily soft lenses. That will give you an idea of whether you want to use them frequently. If you follow all the instructions properly, once they’re in you honestly won’t feel a thing, and they’re super easy to insert and remove.
