Does It Matter What Diameter a Contact Lens Is?

I wear daily contacts that are 13.8 in diameter and I want to buy some freshlook dI amension color contacts but the diameter is 14.5.
Why would I need a new RX for?

    yes it matters.

you cant just order freshlooks anyway. you have to have a new Rx from your optometrist

Yes, because contacts are custom fit to the size of your eyes. If the contacts are too big or small, they won’t fit correctly, and potentially harm your eyes.

The larger the diameter in lenses are actually fashionably better, especially with colored contacts. The bigger the contacts the attractive your eyes will be. The size will truly matter if you are a child or a baby that needs contact. The base curve determine the fit. It is a measure of how steep or shallow your cornea is. If you were to try a base curve larger than needed, the contact would feel like it was floating around on your eye. If you try a base curve that’s too small it could actually squeeze the cornea and cause edema and possibly blurred vision.
Also when buying colored contacts buy something that is sandwich technologic-color inside, and must have a UV protection, such as these.
