There are quite a few factors that can effect an eye exam. If you have gone to your eye dr. and he has confirmed that your eye sight, as is, is acceptable for driving, then have him write a letter that you could bring with you to driving school, or to the DMV stating that your vision is acceptable.
Did that person rub their eyes just before the test?
Were their eyes "tired"?
Was the light right?
A lot of things can affect a vision test.
Who do you trust. A driving instructor giving a vision screening, or a doctor doing an exam? If you had not had an eye exam in over a year it was time to do it anyway, and just so you know screenings at school, or at the DMV, or anywhere else are just that SCREENINGS and not EXAMS given by an eye expert. People administering screenings are not trained vision care professionals. They only catch about 25% of those that need glasses and they aslo make mistakes about 25% of the time. So, don’t be sad, just know that you did get some good eye care and it was good for you!
next time go to walmart exams are only 45
most of the time those vision screens are crap. any screen done by anybody except the eye doctor’s office is unreliable at best.
DMV…crap
pediatrician’s office…crap
vision screen…crap
you get the idea
i’m trying to be funny here, but i am a little serious…most of those "subjective" forms of vision testing dont mean much.
have the optometrist fill out a form for you/her
