Faxing Contact Lens RX for Online Order Question?

If you order contacts online (like 1-800 Contacts) and fax the paper prescription for the verification, do they still call the doctor’s office to verify it?
I mean if I fax my prescription to the place I’m ordering from, do they still call the dr’s office to verify the prescription.

    Email Contact Courier at contactcourier@ymail.com
They don’t require a RX at all, just your power, base curve and diameter
They ship anywhere in the US.

I’m going to say no, on account of I’ve never once heard of them calling my office or any of my local colleagues. I suppose if you order something really wacky they might call to verify it, but I’d be surprised if it’s a routine thing.

If you are leary about ordering contact lenses via email, I would be, check out the detailed information about ordering brand name contact lenses from the UK without a current prescription at http://www.ordercontactlenseswithoutprescription.com

If it’s in the US they are probably either calling or using an automated service to verify the prescription. Contact Lens sellers in the US could lose their license if they sold contact lenses to a US address without verification. You may find some sellers in the UK and Canada that don’t verify but I seriously doubt it in the states. If you have a current prescription and are just looking for a great deal I found this site http://www.discountcontactlensescouponcode.com/ and was happy with the recommendation I followed. Jill
