Freshlook Colorblend Contacts Uncomfortable!!!!?

I went to the eye doctor yesterday and took the exam for contacts they gave me clear ones with my prescription then i tried on the colored ones and went with hazel and gray they felt ok but two hours later my eyes started to feel real tired and the lens were very uncomfortable they ordered them and should be here next week but now i don’t know if I am going to be able to use them, this morning i was able to put one on my left eye and it started to sting. I was thinking that it might be the solution that makes my eyes start to sting when they were showing me how to put them on she put some opti free replenish solution on the contacts because they had gotten dry and wouldn’t stick to my eye but when she was going to get me a bottle to take home she told me that they didn’t have anymore of that same solution so she gave me Aquify Multi-Purpose Solution because she didnt want me to leave without something to clean the contacts with, so today in the morning i put some of that solution into the contact to clean them and when i put it on my eye started crying and turned red …does anyone out there with these kind of contacts have any problems with freshlook colorblends….or has anyone else tried aquify solution …am i doing something wrong?

also this is my first tI ame wearing contacts
thnk you in advance =]

color contacts are typically thicker than clear ones. when you got fitted the optometrist should have informed you of this and given you a trial pair to try on right then and there. if you’re having problems you should probably inform your doctor. the reason your eyes are responding the way they are is they’re not getting enough oxygen. at least that’s what it sounds like. i had the same problem and it turned out i had to go to focus night and days because they are really thin. i’m now trying to go back to other types because they are so much cheaper and i’ve been wearing contacts for awhile now. you might just have to give your eyes some time to adjust because you’re cutting off their oxygen source and now they’re having to learn to function with less. so just give it some time and talk to your doctor. they are there to help. and for now i’d steer away from colored contacts.

but it could also be your solution. I’ve never even heard of that solution you’ve been using. you could be having an allergic reaction to it. i’ve used opti and it’s pretty good, but my favorite is complete. you should check that out. it’s a no rub and contains no salt. really good. talk to your doctor though. take it from someone who has had some pretty awful eye infections. you don’t want to go down the road of messing with your eyes. you will screw them up and it will be painful. i’ve had ulcers and scarring on my corneas and it is very painful. just be wise and use the resources that your doctor knows and get her help.

i am also having problems with my freshlook colored lenses. mine have a tendency to fish in my eyes. they won’t stay in one place and so i constantly have to adjust them in my eyes. terribly uncomfortable. i have a box of three and have gone thru all three of them thinking it was a manufacturing mistake but it’s the lenses. good luck.
