Halloween Colored Contact Lenses– Are They Safe for Teens?

I’m thinking about buying a pair of novelty Halloween colored lenses to wear trick-or-treating and then to a costume party. Are they safe for teens (14-15 yrs old) or will they damage my eyes? Also, do you know of any websites that sell FDA approved lenses?
Ps: I’d only wear them for around 4-5 hours.
Also, i forgot to add that I don’t wear prescription lenses, so I’m just looking for non-prescription novelty contacts.

They might be if you get them at a cheap place. Make sure you Buy TOP QUALITY ones and you should be fine!
Don’t buy cheap ones or anything from a Halloween store. Consult your optometrist and he can tell you if your eyes are fit for wearing them and where to buy them. Have a safe and happy Halloween!

If you’ve never worn contact lenses before, it’s highly advisable that you go to your eye doc and get a proper fitting. They will be able to show you how to put them on and take them out properly, as well as give you instructions on how to care for them, including cleaning and storage.
A lot of people say novelty lenses are not recommended for teens because of several instances where teens will share lenses. However, if you are mature and responsible, you should be ok.
I know that this site sells only the FDA approved halloween lenses. I have ordered regular lenses from them before and they were good. Also, my boyfriend got a pair of the Darth Vader lenses there last Halloween and they looked awesome!!

These are awesome. I have had some made for me for this years halloween party. I am going as a scary pumpkin and ive had some bright orange lens’s made up especially. I cant wait ti see the photos.
