Halloween Contact Lens Help?
I bought some Crazy Eyes (or something) White Manson contacts for Halloween. At first I had troubles getting them in, but not now. However, when I manage to get one in it starts to get irritated. Well, not really irritated, but it feels like something’s in my eye (duh) like dirt or something, particularly under the upper lid. It doesn’t hurt, but it makes my eye water a lot and want to close, meaning I have to take it out. Is there a reason for this, such as a dry contact? Because it still takes me a bit to get them in, so the solution can dry up I suppose. Or does it take awhile to get used to? OR do my eyes just hate contacts?

It usually happens that the beginner wearer tears or nicks the lens in which case it is ruined. Carefully inspect the lens to make sure there are no visible tears in the lens.
The irritation can also come from lint. After inserting the lenses into the eye, move the lens to the sclera (white part of the eye) and move it in a little circle, then move the lens back onto the cornea. This will brush off any lint that is on the lens which will not be felt on the sclera.
A contact lens can also be put in backwards. Hold the lens on your index finger like you are going to put it in, then push on each end to see if it wants to roll up on itself (the taco test). It it does that is the right way, if it does not invert the lens and try again.
If the lens has ever dried up it is ruined and cannot be fixed. Do not try to rehydrate and use the lens again.
