HELP READING CONTACT PRESCRIPTION.. Please!?
Hi, so I decided I’m going to order Natural Touch contacts from Ciba vision from this website http://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens290.asp, so I looked at my prescription and none of it matched what I had to put in the website. So I called my doctor’s office (where they wrote me the prescription) and tried to get help but they didn’t answer any of my questions. I was supposed to get D3 Optifit toric opaque colors, and the prescription says all this:
BC flat pl -0.75×170
Diam 14.5 +0.50-0.75×180
I don’t get it at all! And I don’t know what I should put into the order form, or what my prescription is whatsoever! Help please. Now I understand that different contact brands have different sizes and all but still I don’t even know my basic prescription for lenses, so can someone please help or tell me what I should pop into the order form that will work for me. Thank you!

Durasoft3 Optifit Toric Opaque
OD=RIGHT 0.00sphere -0.75cylinder 170axis
OS=LEFT +0.50sphere -0.75cylinder 180axis
Base Curve = FLAT
Diameter = 14.5
The sphere is the power of the lens. You can’t change the Doctor’s prescription, it has to be ordered as he/she wrote it. This is for the Durasoft. I assumed that you listed OD first, on some order forms OS is listed first, so pay attention to that because they will call your Doctor to verify the Rx.
That will be enough, then select the colour of your choice.
