Help with Color Contact Lenses!!!?

So heres the deal. I just open a new pair of FreshLook Color Contacts (soft lens) this morning. I got home awhile ago and wanted to take it out. The solution it came in spilled and I was woundering if it would be alright to have them placed in Visine eye drops. Untill i can get to a store and buy contact solution later tonight.

Oh and does anyone have suggestions on a really good solution other than RENU.

Generally its not ok to use just any eye drops for your contacts. There are varieties of visine and usually the one without the anti red chemical is a no no. It is called phenylephrine or naphazoline. You are probably better off putting it in your lubricant – the one that you use for dryness. I don’t think its safe to put it on because it might have been contaminated somehow. You should get your contact lens solution and soak it overnight and then wear it. I discourage using it immediately.

The solution I recommend is Opti free from Alcon. It’s a 3 in 1 solution – soak, rinse disinfect.

idk if the eye drops solution would work or not . . . but everytime they get dry put them on ur tonge i know weird but it keeps them wet and doesn’t ruin them

eye drops wont hurt them they are just really hard to get in your eyes thats all. There are lots of other contact solutions that work try them until you find one you like.

Put them in your eyes, then go to the store, and get the contact solution. I would not put them in anything else. Brash and Lomb is good.

I had a lot of trouble with my contacts until I started using Opti-Free Replenish contact solution. It works great!!
Here are some helpful tips that I do to keep my contacts clean:
    1. In the morning when you take your contact out of the case, stick it in the palm of your hand and squirt solution on it. Then rub it and you will see the gross stuff that was on it float into the solution. Take the contact out of the palm of your hand and put it on the tip of one of your fingers and flick the contact solution in your palm into the sink. Then put a drop of solution into the little "bowl" of the contact before you put it into your eye. This adds extra moisture and comfort.
    2. After you have put your contacts in, dump the old solution out of your contact case and refill it with new, clean solution.
    3. Take your contacts out at night and redo the cycle in the morning.

And yes, it is OK to put your contacts in eyedrops, I have had to do this many times when I run out of contact solution!
